"Bookings Closed, Culture Sold Out"

"Bidding for Extinction" openly challenges the contemporary concept of artistic and cultural value. Set in front of the London headquarters of the prestigious auction house Christie's, the work uses the symbolism of monkeys dressed as decaying businessmen to critique the decline of art in today's society. The monkeys, the central figures in the scene, climb the crumbling facade, holding once-priceless paintings that have now lost their worth, while wild vegetation overtakes the building, signaling that nature, indifferent to wealth and power, reclaims its spaces.
